The Interior Narrative is a boutique design studio located in Scottsdale, Arizona, specializing in high-end residential design. We work with busy professionals, experts in their field, elite socialites, creatives, and families who seek a true full-service design experience. We pride ourselves on being creative, hard-working, and exceptionally detail-oriented. From the initial design presentation to the final installation, we're personally involved every step of the way, ensuring a seamless experience and exceptional results.

From full home furnishing packages to individual room selections, we offer comprehensive furniture curation, procurement, and installation for your space. This is a true white-glove experience where every piece is carefully selected and seamlessly coordinated.
Furnishings & Styling
We specialize in new build homes, large-scale renovations for entire residences, and single-room transformations such as custom kitchens or primary baths. Each project is approached with the same level of care and attention, tailored to your unique needs and vision.

Our Full Service Design offers comprehensive design for your space and furnishings with expert guidance from an experienced interior designer every step of the way. This is a fully customized and seamless experience from initial concept to final installation, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully considered and beautifully executed.

Our Services
Once all furnishings are approved and construction begins, we transition into the final phase of your project. We manage all procurement, tracking, receiving, issue resolution, and delivery coordination for all furnishings and styling, providing a true full-service experience. We maintain regular communication with your general contractor throughout the project. On installation day, we bring everything together, creating a curated and impactful design that is perfectly tailored to your space and your story.
IV. Procurement, On-Site Coordination & Installation
Once the Final Design and Specifications are approved, we proceed to the Furniture Selections phase. With a deep understanding of your needs for each space and your lifestyle, we curate furnishing selections driven by both creativity and function. During our In-Person Studio Review, we review the design, budget, and lead times for all furnishings and styling.
III. Furniture Selections
After the Concept Presentation is approved, we move into the Final Design phase where your project truly comes to life. We examine each space in detail, providing a comprehensive custom design. During our In-Person Studio Review, we present all finishes, models, renderings, and design drawings so you can visualize your design as a whole. Once everything is approved, we compile a comprehensive spec binder for your general contractor and trades to utilize on site.
II. Final Design & Specifications
At The Interior Narrative, we start each project with a thorough site visit or plan review to assess your space and gather essential details. We provide a design questionnaire to fully understand your preferences, lifestyle, and desired outcome for each space. Our Concept Presentation includes a concept statement for your project, along with conceptual imagery and selected finishes to give you a clear vision of the creative direction.

We provide custom quotes following our Discovery Call and Initial Site Visit. Each proposal is tailored to your specific project, taking into account the scope, timeline, budget, and style. We work on a fixed-fee pricing structure, so you know exactly what the design fee is from the start. Our proposals outline our process, deliverables, and estimated timeline for your project.
01. How much do your design services cost?
Absolutely. While we have typical ranges for general rooms, our custom proposals provide more accurate estimates for each area of your home. We can also categorize options as "Good, Better, Best" to illustrate pricing ranges. We're transparent about all costs, including shipping, receiving, storage, delivery, and tax, so there are no surprises and your design aligns with your budget.
02. I'm not sure what my furniture budget should be, Can you help determine that?
Yes! We love incorporating antiques, art, family heirlooms, and treasured pieces into our designs. We'll offer suggestions on which pieces work best and where, and we can help you decide what to keep or donate. Each space should reflect who you are and what you love.
03. Are you able to work with my existing furniture?
We primarily work with clients in Scottsdale, Arcadia, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, and Tucson. However, we're capable of taking on projects outside these areas depending on project size and location. We have extensive experience with virtual design and are able to travel as needed. Please reach out via our Project Inquiry form to discuss your project.
04. Do you work with clients outside of the Scottsdale area?
We always recommend starting the design process early, especially for new construction projects. Our design process takes time to ensure it's well thought out and not rushed. We communicate our availability when we provide your custom proposal. Larger projects require more planning and execution time, so reaching out early is recommended. Depending on our workload, we can often accommodate smaller projects if you'd like to start right away.

We offer multiple service options to accommodate various project budgets. While we specialize in Full Service Design, we also provide Renovation Design, Furnishings packages, and À La Carte services. Our typical minimum for renovation and furnishing projects is $30k, but our À La Carte Design service can accommodate smaller budgets. During our Discovery Call, we'll determine which service is right for your project based on your space, needs, and budget.
